Strength & conditioning

Most people think strength training is about lifting heavy things. We think it starts before that.

At CAIRO, our approach to strength and conditioning is built on a simple principle: you learn to control your own body before you add load to it. Calisthenic, bodyweight-first training builds real, functional strength - the kind that transfers to everyday life, sport, and long-term physical health.

No matter your starting point, the structure is the same. Progressive, purposeful, and built around you.

Strength in mind and body

Whether you're returning to training after a long break, building a foundation for the first time, or looking to sharpen performance alongside another discipline - CAIRO strength & conditioning meets you where you are.

Sessions are structured around movement quality first. We focus on the fundamentals: stability, control, and progressive overload through bodyweight before anything else. No ego. No shortcuts. Just work that compounds over time.

This isn't about aesthetics. It's about building a body that functions well, recovers well, and keeps going.

CAIRO 121 sessions run out of partner gyms in Kings Langley and Hoddesdon, with St Albans and more coming soon.

  • CAIRO strength and conditioning is built around a bodyweight-first philosophy, you learn to control your own body before adding external load. Sessions are structured, purposeful, and progressive, integrating physical training with mental resilience and movement quality. This is not circuit-class fitness. It is precision coaching designed to build genuinely resilient bodies.

  • No experience is required. We coach to the individual, not the average. Our approach assumes nothing- even experienced athletes often find gaps in their foundations that more advanced training has masked. Whether you are stepping into training for the first time or returning after a long break, your first session begins where you are.

  • For most sessions, you need comfortable training clothes and clean training footwear. Because CAIRO prioritises calisthenic and bodyweight training, you are not dependent on heavy equipment. Your coach will advise on any additional kit before your first session based on your specific programme.

  • CAIRO training integrates physical and mental development into one coaching relationship. There are no generic programmes handed over on a sheet. Your coach builds your programme around your goals, your lifestyle, and your starting point- and it evolves as you do. Sessions also function as a structured outlet: a space to focus, decompress, and grow beyond the physical.
